How to Prepare for Signing a Contract

At NewStyle Communities, we want to make the process of building your new home enjoyable and fun. We follow a proven set of steps to ensure you are informed and with us every step of the way. It is our number one priority to build you a new home that you will love!

Our Sales Consultant work with you to determine the best home plan for your lifestyle. They will tour available homes and homesites with you and discuss home features. NewStyle Communities includes many features in our homes, but there are also upgrades available. Your Sales Consultant can discuss possible upgrades and what they might cost.

Signing the Contract

After your consultation appointment, you’ll know your preliminary pricing. Then, you and your Sales Consultant will confirm your chosen homesite, and our in-house designer will help you select the finishing touches. Once you’ve done all of that, it’s time for your Sales Consultant to assist you with the purchase and sale agreement. During this meeting, we will write, review, and sign a contract. We recommend that you choose all structural options at this time, too. So, you should know which options you want prior to this meeting.

For financing, about half of our homeowners opt for the Home Equity Conversion Mortgage. This is a great benefit we offer to our older buyers that helps them take control of their finances and not have to pay a monthly mortgage. By the time the contract is signed, you’ll have completed your selections.

Kicking Off the Building Process

Your signed sales agreement will kick off the building process. This contract covers the basics of the decisions you’ve made up until this point: home plan, homesite, pricing, items included with the home, and any special conditions. It will also include a timeline for the construction process, so that we’re all on the same page. Lastly, the contract will include the contact information for key people you’ll need to communicate with along the way. Once all parties sign off, the contract serves as a guide to getting your house built on time and within budget!
