Before we hand you the keys to your all-time dream space, here’s what you can expect when you build with our caring, knowledgeable, and fun NewStyle team:
The Selection Process
Select a Home Site
All the fun begins now! After you choose your unique floor plan, you’ll select the home site that fits you best. What’s your biggest priority — wooded views, morning sun, or a corner lot? Whatever you want the most, our sales consultant will help you choose the perfect site.
Design Appointment
About two weeks after you’ve purchased your home site, you’ll select cabinet styles, flooring, appliances, fixtures, and more with our in-house designer. With an option library that provides enough choices that fit your budget (without making you feel overwhelmed), you’ll get to personalize your home exactly the way you want it.
The Construction Process
Pre-Construction Meeting
Before we begin construction, you’ll meet with our project manager on your property to review your home plans and discuss the schedule. Your home is fully built on paper before we ever begin! With us, you don’t have to worry about unwanted surprises or bumps in the ride — we make this journey smooth sailing.
Pre-Drywall Meeting
Prior to the installation of drywall, you’ll meet with your project manager on your property to review any electrical options (e.g., additional recessed lights, extra outlets, etc.), and discuss the remainder of the building schedule. We ensure that you’re confident and feel excited about every part of the process.
Quality Mark Inspection
Once your home is completed, and after the issuance of the certificate of occupancy, we hire a licensed, third-party home inspector to perform a thorough inspection of your home. The detailed report will highlight any deficiencies, and your project manager, along with the trade partners, will perform any repairs within one week.
New Home Orientation
Before closing, you’ll meet with your project manager on your property to review all the systems and operations of your new home, including appliances, programmable thermostat, hot water tank, air handler, fireplace, and doors and windows. Any areas in need of cosmetic touch-ups will be addressed as soon as possible!
Your Move In
Closing
The day has come! We’ll be there cheering beside you while we hand over the keys to your dream home. Our front office will coordinate your home’s closing with our preferred closing attorney and your lender (if applicable). Your maintenance-free lifestyle is about to begin!
Customer Care
At your New Home Orientation, we’ll provide you with the Home Buyer’s Manual, which details our limited warranty, manufacturer’s warranties, and tips for service calls during the one-year warranty period, in which you’ll have access to prompt and friendly service to address any warranty items that need attention.
