There are many reasons people move to a NewStyle Community, but the ones we hear about time and time again are the quality of our homes, the low-maintenance lifestyle, the intimacy of the communities, and the customer service provided by our team.
A few of our homeowners shared their thoughts on why they chose a NewStyle Community
THE QUALITY
“This is the first time I’ve seen a house of this size being built all brick. This is another level of class,” enthuses Terry Miller. Our other homeowners love the brick, too. Says Kathy Malek, “A low maintenance, all-brick home is an upgrade when you’re buying a house.”
For Debra Lee, the brick and single-level plan are a winning combo: “The reason I like an all-brick home and one-level living is because as we get older I don’t want to navigate steps or have to paint the outside of the house.”
SMALLER IS BETTER
Our cozy-size communities are a hit, too! “One thing that I really enjoy about being in a community with only 45 homes is that when people move in, you can meet them and get to know them. It feels like it’s going to be a community where everyone’s going to know everybody else. I think that’s a big plus,” enthuses Debra Lee.
The Meskoskeys agree. “I think the reason we chose here, a smaller community, is because you get to know your neighbors. You can have informal gatherings in your house and feel comfortable,” says Deb. “It’s unique and more personal because you can get to meet people and interact with them more,” says Peter.
For The Millers, there was no other option! “A community that’s private, not a whole lot of houses, a nice close-knit community. We preferred that. We didn’t want to hang out with 2 or 3 hundred people.”
OH YEAH, THE COURTYARDS
“I like the courtyard,” says Peter. ”From taking care of 5 acres before, it’s going to be nice to have a small area to take care of. It’s easy.”
Kathy Miller says, “The courtyard is where it’s going to be for us. We go out there and relax and enjoy time outside.”
… AND LOW MAINTENANCE
“The maintenance-free aspect was very attractive,” notes Terry Miller. “This place goes above and beyond. I’ve never heard of a place where they clean your gutters twice a year. Those additional things make it so that whatever free time we have is going to be just that… time for us.”
Paul Lee concurs, “Deb lets me play as much golf as I want to. I play four days a week because there’s nothing at home waiting for me to do it. I’m retired and this is what I want to do.”
Peter Meskoskey doesn’t miss the chores. “I’m retired, so the maintenance-free allows me more time to do other things. I enjoyed cutting the lawn at our other house, but it’s time to not cut the lawn.”
“They take care of our front. They landscape it and water it, and they mow the grass, and they do the weeding. They take care of everything,” says Kathy Malek. “It allows my husband and I to travel. If we want to lock up the house and go, we don’t have to worry about anything.”
Deb Meskoskey loves that “you don’t have to do anything outside unless you want to have something in your courtyard. Then you can do whatever you want.”
SPEAKING OF SINGLE LEVEL…
Peter & Deb Meskoskey love having their primary living space on the main floor: “We chose The Portico because we wanted a second story. We love that everything is on the first floor. The laundry room, bedroom, shower – you just can’t beat that. There’s an advantage to having a second floor, too, if you have guests. If you want the extra space, it works well.”
The Millers downsized from a larger house. And they “enjoy the open scheme of the homes here. You can be anywhere and speak to anybody and you’re not yelling. It’s all open.”
THEY LIKE US, TOO!
Our team is dedicated to building the best homes and making sure our homeowners are happy. According to The Meskoskeys, we must be doing something right! “When people ask me, I say the builder couldn’t be greater,” reveals Deb. “They’re listening to us all the time. If we need anything, we can text them. We contact them and they’re right here.” As Peter notes, “It’s easy to get a hold of the staff and the crew. Typically things get taken care of right away. They do a really good job.”
